Firefighting System

Firefighting System

As per the norms of International Civil Aviation Organization, heliports should be equipped with firefighting system on two sides. Both manual and automatic control patterns could be used to operate firefighting systems at the heliport. Based on the length of helicopters, the firefighting systems are categorized to three. H1 (250 LPM), H2 (500 LPM) and H3 (800 LPM) - (LPM refers to Litter per Minute). The method of using heavy foam in the system ensures that it takes less than five minutes to control a burning helicopter.

Firefighting monitors installed at the aluminium landing platforms ensure that the system works without delay, thereby minimising damages. Firefighting system includes water tanks, extinguishing agent (foam), firefighting monitors, pumping and mixing stations and the complete pipe work. Since safety comes first, our team of experts check and confirm that the firefighting systems meet international regulations and recommendations.
