The aluminium surface of the heliport platform requires proper load-bearing capacity for smooth operation. So, a strong and sufficiently sized steel foundation is necessary to support the aluminium platform. The aluminium platform is attached to primary and secondary steel beams that are connected to the building where the heliport is constructed. Neoprene is used in between the steel and aluminum surfaces.
Simultaneously, steel substructures serve to increase the height of the platform above sea level for aeronautical reasons. The support points and dimensions of steel structures are individually customized for each project, as per the calculated load transfer in coordination with architects and structural engineers of the building where heliport is to be installed.
